A little something I once drew...

Lady Dita

Everytime I look at this illustration I think of Dita Von Teese.

And now for something different-A.R.M. Party

Here's a birthday invitation I made for a tri-birthday party.  It was Inspired by Soviet poster design  and Dexter Power Saw poster (see below), which I personally think is brilliant!

So the story goes like this: I was browsing around for movie poster ideas, when I came across this Dexter poster, which i though was absolutely fab! Love the eyes-on-the-horizon-military kind of look!
Once the idea was clear I just needed a photo of the birthday boys and girl. My boyfriend kindly offered to do so, and here below you can see the initial ones.

After that some photoshop work followed, until the final poster. Of course there are some subtle details, like the belgian flag in the background  (we all live in Brussels-who doesn't anyway?!) or the portuguese tiles in the background (2 of them and myself share this nationality). If anyone happens to need a party invitation give us a mail!

This is it!

I am just a girl who used to draw a lot as a kid, but somehow I lost that feeling along the way... Some boring or stupid art teachers took the fun out of it, and life in general kind of got in the way of actually doing something or improving my skills.

Now I work as a fashion and graphic designer for a very unfashionable company, and I get repressed by commercial intentions all the time, so I've decided to rebel, and, well, just creat a blog where I can do WHAT THE HELL I WANT TO DO.
I can do artsy, and even better, pretensious artsy :).

But I would really like to have some feedback in order to become a better illustrator. Advice, sharing tips, questions, challenges, please, give us a call. Or a mail. Or a comment.
